Burning House
Robert Holden constructs kind of morbid and dark images but also kind of interesting by the theme of "Burning House Project." He does this by the theme because it makes you think about the items he has picked. He wanted us to consider what you would've picked if it happened to you.
My Response
WWW: I picked a good amount of items and put them in the right layout to take the picture
EBI: If I could maybe pick more cubic items so it would line up more

Aftermath: Laura Letinsky
In this task I was required to take pictures of a meal. This task links to the theme as it shows simplicity and a prepared meal for each day. With nothing in the background.
My Response

Form over Function
André Kertész, 'Fork', 1928
André Kertész created the image "Fork" in 1928 at this time he lived in Paris where he mixed with artists from the Dada movement. This image is deliberately simple. Kertész is paying attention to the photograph’s composition which emphasises the fork's geometry and form. The fork becomes more than just a kitchen utensil. Kertész believed photography should reveal the real nature of things. Whilst in Paris Kertész felt like an outsider and he expressed his loneliness through the subjects of his photographs. He was able to combine formal composition with an emotive charge. Henri Cartier Bresson said “Each time Kertész’s shutter clicks I hear his heart beating.

Photojoiners
David Hockney
David Hockey is linked to the pop art movement. He also has created many photojoiners. Photographs are taken of objects from different perspectives. These images are then put together like a collage to recreate the scene but a bit distorted to show different points in time. This work connects with the cubists movement. Which was one of Hockneys major aims.

Light & Focus
Uta Barth
Uta Barth creates minimal and objective images. This is shown by making it very limited to what's in the picture. It is usually one item then a blank wall with a complex shadow which is caused by an unknown object out of frame. She wants us to consider what's not in the picture or what's not showing so we can imagine it ourselves. You can have a wider view on it yet you don't actually know what's there for sure.
Barth is interested in the every day things that many people could find boring like a plain blank wall. She is interested in the short lasting for example light and shadow. She does this by zooming in, cropping and blurring her photographs. She was interested in this issue because she thought the camera taught people how to see which limited their imagination.

Edward Weston
Edward Weston used a Graflex camera. The benefit of using this camera was that he could preview his image before he took it. Edward Weston developed his own photography language, It had to precise framing and a master of compositions. Edward Weston encountered the problem which there wasn't enough detail, So he created his own aperture, the f240 pinhole. It took 4 to 6 hours of natural light when taking pictures and this would often get ruined by a truck driving past causing the ground to shake. The long exposure makes the object in the image very bright and very vibrant and makes the pepper glow by all the natural like from all angles.
1st response: Natural Light
In this task I was required to take pictures of singular fruits or vegetables with a lot of detail. After this we were required to change the picture to black and white. This task links to the theme as it shows

To take a picture and edit it using photoshop with the Saturation/Hue tool.
In this task I took 20 to 30 pictures of very blank and minimalist scenes. Not much things in the frame maybe one item to focus on and a blank background. After this I am to edit the pictures in photoshop by changing the hue and saturation. Causing to have bold plain colours.
