Four Compositions Task
In this task I was required to take photographs of objects or landscapes that looked similar to 4 collages I had made prior. There was Triangle, Rule of thirds, Layers and Balance.
Rule Of Thirds: When the image is divided into 9 rectangles which are split apart by two parallel horizontal and vertical lines. The subject in the image should be placed going along these lines.
Balance: Two objects which balance each other. They equal out the image by having two equal shaped or sized pictures on either side left and right.
Layers: When you overlap an object or scene deliberately with another object.
Triangle: Pictures which are framed in a very geometric way. Organising them like a triangle going into a point or fading over the horizon.

Define the four types.

Finger Frames
In this task I was required to take pictures with different depth of fields. We use 3 different depth of fields in this task, the lowest, highest and the middle. The pictures slowly get more in focus from different distances.
WWW: The second time we took pictures they were much better and the difference between the aperture was much more visible and easier to tell the difference.
EBI: The first time we took our pictures they all looked the same and the aperture didn't look any different to any others.

Framing
In this task I was to get a rectangular piece of white card without any centre and take pictures of texture and scenery. We were meant to outline this using the hollow rectangular piece of card we were given.
WWW: The texture of the items in the frame, the pictures, the focus is good and the reflection in the top right picture.
EBI: I could've taken more pictures and maybe more detail.

Using Mirrors
In this task I was required to take pictures of Mirrors with certain backgrounds and reflections. We could've taken a picture with a natural scenery but a urban reflection in the mirror.
WWW: Most of the pictures I took had good contrast between urban and natural.
EBI: If the focus was better and maybe a more seamless look.

Formal Elements
In this task I was required to take pictures of 7 different themes like Contrast, Texture, Form, Pattern, Tone, Line and Colour. I needed to find pictures that matched each 7 of these themes.
Windows
In this task I was required to take pictures of windows and window frames. We were also required to think about the reflections in the windows, what was on the other side of the window and the window to frame a narrative. We were allowed to take pictures of people through the window almost like someone was watching your life on a tv show.
I interpreted this task by very abstract or different.

Workshop 1
Mirroring and Flipping.
In this task I was required to take a photo or use a previously used photo then use photoshop to edit it and flip it to make it reflect on every angle. This gives the feeling like it's abnormal or not meant to be in this world. It looks almost like a spaceship or something from another planet. It doesn't feel like something I'd use often thought maybe once in a while but not a lot.

I found this technique pretty could as you could make some pretty creative images. This technique is pretty easy to use for anyone new to photoshop or experienced.

Tokihiro Sato
Tokihiro Sato is a Japanese photographer who is best known for his expressions of light, space and performance. Sato was originally a sculptor but he decided to move to photography as he could better communicate his ideas. He uses extremely long exposures which last from one to three hours. He moves around creating bright lines using flashlights.

Favourite Photographer
because all his photographs give this otherworldly feeling like it's from a fantasy world. It makes it seem like a dream world where everything doesn't seem right. It reminds me of a animation that I watched where it was a beach and there were bright transparent fish floating and swimming in the sky instead of the water.
Jan Dibbets
My favourite photographer is Jan Dibbets. Dibbets is a Dutch photographer who takes pictures of geometric shapes and mixes the skyline across different images. He took many pictures of contrasting scenes and put them together.
